Overview
There is a specific sequence to follow when uninstalling and reinstalling Pivotal Client.
This article provides the sequence to be followed to uninstall and re-install Pivotal Client successfully.
Information
To uninstall Pivotal Client (from the Client machine), uninstall only by using the built-in system uninstall command found in Start > Programs > CDC Software > Pivotal CRM > Uninstall Pivotal CRM.
If the above steps failed to uninstall Pivotal Client (from the Client machine), make sure to follow these steps:

Uninstall Pivotal Client from the Start Menu or Control Panel.

Uninstall Pre-requisites (From Control Panel).

Go to
C:\Users\<UserName>\
and rename the CDC Software folder to CDC Software BCK. -
Go to
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\
and rename the CDC Software folder to CDC Software BCK (Notice that AppData is a hidden folder). -
Go to
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\
and rename the CDC Software folder to CDC Software BCK (Notice that AppData is a hidden folder). -
Go to your Pivotal Client installation folder (Normally,
C:\Programs Files
andPrograms Files x86
) and rename the CDC or Aptean folders. (If this computer is your PBS, only rename the Pivotal Client sub-folders). -
Reboot the machine.

Reinstall all the components again (Pre-requisites first).
If uninstalling the Pivotal Client from the Server, please follow the sequence of steps below:

Uninstall Office Integration.

Uninstall Pivotal Client.

Uninstall SCF (Smart Client Framework).
To install, follow the order of installation, as shown below:

Install SCF.
-
Install Pivotal Client.
-
Install Office Integration.
